Total FACup

Appalling pun of a title, but today was an F.A. Cup Fest, as the third round was played out with a raft of matches. Some big teams met some minnows, but there weren't too many upsets. Wigan lost to Swindon and Bolton were held but not much beyond that.

I had a good day, which included normal trading, results from pre-match trading and also letting my bot out for another run. Although I made a small profit with my bot, there are definite problems with it which I will have to look at. For a start, it is greening-up with very small figures (greening-up at the wrong time), and seems to have got involved at the wrong time in some of the matches. So it looks like a case of "back to the drawing board" for this.


Just a quick follow-up on my "Oppose" entry of a couple of days ago. This is how things finished:

Liverpool were 1.17. Started at KO @ 1.18. Went out to 1.26 before Oldham scored.
Chelsea were 1.21. Now around 1.24
Everton were 1.12. Started at KO @  1.11 but went out to 1.15
Fulham were 1.46. Started at KO @ 1.45 but went out to 1.55
Spurs were 1.15. Started at KO @ 1.21

So pre-match you could have made a profit on all these with the exception of Everton, where you would have lost nothing. I personally made money pre-match on Liverpool, Fulham and Spurs.
